Find your knitting pattern (Gmail version)Updated a month ago

Sure! Here's a step-by-step guide on how to check if an email is in the Spam folder in Gmail.

📬 How to Check if a Mail is in the Spam Box in Gmail

🔹 Step 1: Open Gmail

  1. Go to https://mail.google.com on your web browser.

  2. Sign in with your Gmail account credentials if you are not already logged in.

🔹 Step 2: Find the “Spam” Folder

  • On the left-hand sidebar, scroll down until you see “More” and click on it.

  • Then scroll a bit further until you see the “Spam” label (it may be represented with an exclamation mark icon ⚠️).

  • Click on “Spam”.

Tip: If you don’t see it at all, click “More” to expand the full list of folders/labels.

🔹 Step 3: Search for the Email

  • Once in the Spam folder, you can:

    • Browse manually through the list.

    • Use the search bar at the top of Gmail.

      • Type: in:spam [knitting or absolute]

      • Example: in:spam knitting or in:spam absolutepatterns.com

This filters results only within the spam folder.

🔹 Step 4: Mark it as “Not Spam” (Optional)

If you find the email and it was wrongly marked as spam:

  1. Open the email.

  2. Click the “Not spam” button at the top.

    • This moves the email to your Inbox.

    • Gmail will also learn to avoid marking similar emails as spam in the future.

🔹 Optional: Check Spam Settings

If you're frequently missing emails:

  • Click the gear icon in the top right → See all settings.

  • Navigate to the Filters and Blocked Addresses tab to make sure no rules are auto-sending emails to Spam.
