Find your knitting pattern (Yahoo version)Updated a month ago

Here's a step-by-step guide for checking if an email has gone to the Spam folder in Yahoo Mail:

📬 How to Check if a Mail Is in the Spam Box in Yahoo Mail

🔹 Step 1: Open Yahoo Mail

  1. Go to https://mail.yahoo.com.

  2. Sign in with your Yahoo email address and password.

🔹 Step 2: Locate the “Spam” Folder

  • On the left sidebar, you'll see a list of folders.

  • Click on “Spam” (marked with a 🚫 icon or just labeled "Spam").

  • This folder contains messages Yahoo suspects to be junk or phishing.

🔹 Step 3: Search for a Specific Email

If you're looking for a particular message:

  1. Use the search bar at the top.

  2. Enter this search query:
    in:spam [knitting or absolutepatterns]
    Example: in:spam knitting or in:spam absolutepatterns.com.

This filters the search results to only show emails from the Spam folder.

🔹 Step 4: Mark It as “Not Spam” (Optional)

If you find a legitimate email in Spam:

  1. Open the email.

  2. Click the “Not Spam” button at the top toolbar.

    • The email will move to your Inbox.

    • Yahoo will learn not to treat similar messages as spam.

🔹 Step 5: Add to Contacts or Safe Sender List

To prevent future messages from going to spam:

  • Open the legitimate email.

  • Click on the sender name and choose “Add to contacts”.

  • Or go to Settings → More Settings → Filters or Security and whitelist the sender’s domain.
