Here's a step-by-step guide for checking if an email has gone to the Spam folder in Yahoo Mail:
📬 How to Check if a Mail Is in the Spam Box in Yahoo Mail
🔹 Step 1: Open Yahoo Mail
Go to https://mail.yahoo.com.
Sign in with your Yahoo email address and password.
🔹 Step 2: Locate the “Spam” Folder
On the left sidebar, you'll see a list of folders.
Click on “Spam” (marked with a 🚫 icon or just labeled "Spam").
This folder contains messages Yahoo suspects to be junk or phishing.
🔹 Step 3: Search for a Specific Email
If you're looking for a particular message:
Use the search bar at the top.
Enter this search query:
in:spam [knitting or absolutepatterns]
Example:in:spam knitting
orin:spam absolutepatterns.com
.
This filters the search results to only show emails from the Spam folder.
🔹 Step 4: Mark It as “Not Spam” (Optional)
If you find a legitimate email in Spam:
Open the email.
Click the “Not Spam” button at the top toolbar.
The email will move to your Inbox.
Yahoo will learn not to treat similar messages as spam.
🔹 Step 5: Add to Contacts or Safe Sender List
To prevent future messages from going to spam:
Open the legitimate email.
Click on the sender name and choose “Add to contacts”.
Or go to Settings → More Settings → Filters or Security and whitelist the sender’s domain.
